Dear
Parents
Thank
you for enquiring about Crowcombe Primary School. We take great pride
in our school and warmly welcome parental visits.
We
are a small village school with a strong emphasis on the individual
child and our relationships with families, church and community.
We
have small classes and a high ratio of adults to children, which enables
pupils of all abilities to make excellent progress.
We
are also federated with Stogumber Church of England Primary School.
This enables us to offer extended opportunities to our children with
a wider range of activities and staff expertise.
Our
OFSTED report in January 2007 commented that "Crowcombe is a good
school which is highly thought of by parents and the local community.
As a consequence of the personalised approach to learning, pupils achieve
well. Pupils' enjoyment of school is evident in their enthusiastic response
in lessons, their positive attitudes to learning and their very good
behaviour.
We
hope that, by the time children leave us, they will have gained an "appetite
for learning", they will have understood that success comes through
hard work and that they will have learnt how to care for each other
and developed a sense of spiritual awareness.
We
look forward to welcoming you into school.
Please
do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further information
about the school.
Yours sincerely
Anthea
